WHAT TO EXPECT:
Here at Washington Heights UMC we want you to have a powerful Sunday worship experience. We believe that we are a HUB of H.O.P.E. for our community. We have created Spirit filled worship opportunities with YOU in mind. When you arrive at WHUMC, you can expect to be greeted with a warm welcome, and guidance from our team to find a seat and enjoy the worship experience. You will experience dynamic worship, hear stories of real-life change, and receive an uplifting message of HOPE.
Doors open no later than 30 minutes before the start of the worship experience, so plan to arrive in plenty of time to park, head to the sanctuary, and get settled in your seat. If you have children, they are welcome.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you or have you stand up. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that is fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
You will find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Worship Experiences. Come in what is comfortable for you because WHUMC is not about what you look like or what you wear.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved. We are adding to our activities daily so provide us with your contact information and we will provide you with information and you can choose activities that are right for you.
